Prepare your change of registrar

1. Confirm access to the account and the registrant’s email.
2. Check transfer locks and eligibility.
3. Request an authorisation code when required.
4. Keep a copy of website and email DNS records.
5. Review pricing, timing and the expiry date.

Transferring registration does not automatically move your website or email. Requirements vary by extension. Check whether your previous provider will keep DNS service after the transfer.
